The soup sounds great Clint, but I'm all set thanks anyways.

I should be back home & posting by Tuesday, when I had the other one done, I was only off work for 6 weeks.
Hey maybe you can dig up an old HD 74 with a kick starter like when we was kids. They do want you to have Physical Therapy don't they? An old girl like that will give ya one hell of a work out!!!

I'm home from the hospital, everything went well with the surgery. I'm having a bit of trouble concentrating though. The pain killers are great at keeping the pain under control, but I sure wouldn't want to make any important decisions yet.

Did you get that new bagger yet Dave?

Holy cow. There's a real rash of winter maintenance going on here lately. Rickster just got home from surgery, drBob is getting reconstructive shoulder surgery, and I'm going in for arthroscopic knee surgery next week.

Ouch! Is this how we spend the off season?

Glad things went well Rick. I hear the hospital painkillers are the best.

Get it done now, so it doesn't interfere with the riding season.
I had my left hip done last Jan, and still got over 12,000 miles on the Road King this summer.

Picking it up this Thursday...taking the day off from work. I might even get in 50 to 100 miles. The temps have been down in the teens with the high 20's to low 30's in the day. Very unseasonable. WE are probably 10 degrees below normal.

Glad your back and ok..........

Well I got it..its the cats A$$. let me tell you. Other then the little shaking rumble its as smooth as silk. I really like the part of all the low end torque. It neet not to have to run high RPM's to get going. I'll try to get a picture posted soon. Went riding on it for only about 15 miles as there is some ice on the roads (27 deg.) and its getting dark.

Dave, when you get it figured out, perhaps you will show me how. I can't do it either.

Let's see if I can help.

Click the "New Thread" on the top left corner.

Go down to the Additional Options and you'll see the Attach Files Box and click "Manage Attachment".

The Manage Attachments will come up and click the "Browse" to find your picture from your computer.

From here you can upload your picture, but be aware that there is a 4.77 MB limit on the size of the file so you might have to re-size your picture.

Click "upload" when you have finished selecting the picture.

You can go here to test. Test Forum - Motorcycle-Journal Forums

hmmm it should be telling you that the UPload failed...?

any time you are writing in a text box ... for a new thread or just a reply....you can scroll down the page and find "manage attachments".
Click on that and choose 'upload file from your computer" and click on the first 'browse' button.

As Snafu says, it has to be less than 4.7 MB. frankly I see it fail to upload for 2 MB or less..... it also fails for me if there are multiples that exceed a few MB.

So I also recommend you resize the pic smaller... Even 200 kb shows up just fine on the forum for readers so why go any bigger? You can do this in photoshop or Paint shop pro or most any photo editing program.

Then you click the upload button nearby.. (not the one for URLs)...and the file name should show up in a short time in 'current attachments'.

Then come back to the window for the text box and click "submit reply".

If that doesn't do it... I will subscribe to your bad luck theory...

4.77 Mgbyte limit? Is this problem in the jpeg day and age? I can't think of the last jpeg over 500 k.

Yes, click on "manage attachments."

click on "browse"

dig through your stinkin' hard drive directory by bloody directory until you find said picture (this is when it's really helpful to rename the file to something as "picture to post on the bike forum.")

next, click "upload" this process can take anywhere from a couple of seconds to up to a minute.

Lastly there is a box at the bottom that says "close this window" click on that.

Well I have done all that...I think that I will try the PhotoBucket sight. It might be helpful. I have followed the directions you guys have given me a few times and the upload keeps failing.
