Default New Mirrors

Was down at the dealer today to get some new grips, they had this mock up set of handlebars there that you can put the different grips on to see how they feel. To make things more realistic, the mock up even has mirrors on it, anyway, I'm not there to get new mirrors, so I'm paying more attention to the grips than the mirrors, when all of a sudden I notice that the writing on the mirror seems odd. Turns out these arn't stock mirrors, and where you would normally read "OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR", this set reads "A$$HOLES IN MIRROR ARE BIGGER THAN THEY LOOK". I busted out laughing, and bought them on the spot.
Before you ask, I already tried to take a picture, no go, to much reflection.

I've seen those also- funny stuff!

I was at the dealer today myself...darn near took home a new 2007 Street Glide in Black Cherry. But they wouldn't give me enough trade in on the Electra Glide, so I'll put it inthe paper Monday and when it sells I'll get a new one.

Great mirrors, DrBob not a big difference on the Electra and street glide, glide is about 1 inch lower and 1 or 2 inches longer other then that just doesn't have the running lights and the chrome bag protectors. and the lower profile seat.

I have an Electra Glide now, and looked at/ drove both 2007 models at the dealer. They are basically the same bike, with the same frame, drive line, fairing, etc. I like the Electra Glide, and if they didn't make the Street Glide I'd probably trade up to a newer one and be happy. But the Street Glide has some custom touches I like: the blacked out motor and trans, the lowered rear suspension, the slash cut exhaust tips and bullet turn signals, the color matched saddle bag latches, the mirrors in the fairing, and LED lights and ground effects on the rear fender. Plus the sound system is stock.
The things that the Electra Glide has that the Street Glide doesn't, like fender trim, fog lights, rear crash bars, and chrome saddle bag latches, are things I don't want and would probably end up taking off anyways. Plus the Electra doesn't come in my top two color choices, Black Cherry and Pewter Demim. So I'll probably get the Street Glide, unless they make me a better deal on a black Electra Glide with added sound system.

Oh well, we'll see how long it takes to sell the '02 Electra Glide. Or maybe I'll sleep on it and decide to keep what I have till the wheels fall off, and build a custom chopper instead.

a little off the original topic, sorry! But, I have an 06 ultra in black cherry and absolutely love it. Traded in a blue 05 RKC for it and have gotten a lot of compliments. I have a friend with the street glide that he has put some motor work into that just screams! (his is the silver-gray). Anyway, good luck!
