I was at the drag races in Mission on Sat. whatching my son in ProModifieds.
They were also running motorcycles. There was a brand new dealer Vrod.
I saw 3 1/4 mile runs.
1-10.40
2- 9.89
3- 9.80

The rider was a dealer tech. The bike was new off the floor on Friday.
Those were the first 3 runs the bike made.
I was not there for Sunday.

My son had trouble hooking up, his best was 7.08 and the class was 6.03 to
6.40. His best last year was 6.14. So he has a new car being built.

Repost from the Lobby...

Impulse buy...I need another bike like I need a friggin' hole in the head. But I couldn't resist, as the price was right and it was only a couple hours from the house. It's a custom from California Motorcycle Company (basically a Fat Boy clone) with a 1450cc S&S motor and some slick paint. I figure my girlfriend can ride it when I'm on my Harley FLH, and we can use our Intruders in the mountains to play. It only has 2900 miles on it, so it runs and drives like brand new. I put 220 miles on it last night, but will have to remove the forward controls if my sweetie is going to ride it.

06-Heritage and StreetGlide.

The wife traded her bike in on the Heritage and I sold my X to get my SG. I haven't regretted it at all.

DrBob, that's one sweet paint job! I'd be afraid to ride it. Heck, I'd be afraid to SIT on it!

Ahhh, the age old argument on how to break in an engine.

Well, I have done both ways of breaking in engines, both on bikes and cars, and I have yet to see a difference. After 500 miles on my engines, I drive them like I will for the rest of the time I have the bike...hard.

Nice bikes! In my opinion, the Deluxes look best all black.

Nice job on the modified Sporty.
