Hi - I'm hoping someone out there can help. I have a 1999 (V) GSXR 600 which seems to lose power and then eventually leads to the revs dying when I pull the clutch in while going along or when I stop. There also seems to be quite a strong smell of petrol when this happens and the engine note seems to change to the sound of a scooter before it dies!. The airbox had quite a lot of crap in it, which I thought was causing it. But this has since been cleaned out and the problems still exists. One thing I read in MCN this week, suggested it might be a vacum in the tank, so suggested riding with the fuel cap undone. I'd be grateful of any idea's?? Phil |
