Default 07 750 fuel mileage

I've got almost 3k miles on my new 750 and I'm noticing a few things that seem odd.

First, I'm only getting 105-110 miles out of a neck full tank before the fuel light comes on. I ride with 1000s that get 130+. I was wondering if the 'california package' thats on all new gsx-r's robs mileage, or atleast if anyone else is getting similar mileage.

Secondly, I've had some trouble trying to clutch the bike up in second. I hate dumping the clutch on a new bike, but I want the tire up outside of first gear. If I stand up, I can throttle it up in second, but when I try to clutch it up while sitting the front end will come up just a bit and the bike will bog way down. It will stay bogged out till I burp the throttle. Is this rider error or some sort of computer safety programming.

Currently the bike is stock, but I have a pile of parts for it. I have a slip on, TRE, Power commander and K&N ready to go, but my buddies tell me to get it looked at before I void the warranty. My main concern is the fuel mileage. My car gets more MPG...
