Question Rider to passenger intercom

I would like to get one but not sure whats good.
I am planning on 2 new open face helmets.
Autocom, Starcom, N-com or even this new bluetooth I found here:
Bluetooth Intercoms - webBikeWorld
some more I found here:
Bluetooth Equipment - Alan UK Motorcycle Comms

I don't need bike to bike, music or cell phone, just a clean intercom thats top quality and easy to use.
I am concerned about wind noise transmitted through the mic to speaker, that would be annoying for sure.

Any comments out there?

Welcome, Matt. I don't own any of that stuff, but I've researched it. I think I'm going to go with Bluetooth if I can find something good. There's appeal in compatibility with phones, music players and such, though that brings up the issue of distraction while riding.

Come to think of it, that's why I haven't bought anything to date.

What Ext1jdh pointed out looks good..
  • Rechargeable
  • long talk time
  • not paying for features I won't use

Its on all the time so the only concern would be noise from wind in the mic.
Wireless would be slick if sound quality is equal to wired.

Cant decide which is better between "voice activated" and "on all the time"

I looked at motorcycle-superstore.com and don't understand!

What all do I need to talk to my passenger? my riding mates? Are the headsets all that are needed? Does it just connect into a radio, or is there another piece?

Talking to my passenger would be great, but talking to others in a group would be cool too. If it is just a headset to my FRS, then what?

Don't know if you're looking at it too, but BlueAnt Wireless North America - Bluetooth hands free, car kits and mobile communication devices for the USA has some great reviews. I am thinking about ordering a pair for me and missus
