Default I'm a step closer...

to ATGATT. I have the MSF in a couple of weeks and reallized the ONLY gloves I have around here that aren't all full of holes are my wife's gardening gloves. And I AIN'T showin up wearing flowers on my hands. So, as long as I needed gloves anyway.....

I bought a pair of Alpinestar SMX-AC gloves. They're comfy!

Now, I only need a jacket, helmet, boots...hmm....what else...oh, yah, a bike!

I'll wear my old bucket for the MSF class, but will never wear it on the street again. It was one thing cruising on the CT70, but would never wear it on a real bike. I have very few brain cells left and would like to protect them as best I can!

i just bought myself my second helmet. i had a hell of a time trying on stuff for the past week and ended up with a KBC. when you try stuff on, don't be nervous about trying on more than 5 or 10 different models from all sorts of manufacturers, and at different stores. it'll cost you $150 to $350 before you settle on one that fits and lets you see well.

bike? meh, don't need that. just pose next to some other biker's ride. or walk around the neighbourhood and challenge 6-year-olds to a headbutting contest.

have you actually figured out which bike you'll buy? or got it down to a list of 3 or less bikes? going to get your hands on it before the course, or hang tight until after?

Helmet soon. Have about a $400 limit, and think I can pull it off for that.

Bike- Really struggling.

Short list is:

Honda VT750C Shadow Spirit
SV650
Bandit 600
MAYBE a Nighthawk 750.

Or, see what deal comes along on a Volusa or something else. Bottom line...nope, no closer....BUT I HAVE GLOVES!!!

I can't afford to buy until after the coarse, which is probably a blessing in disguise.

What size Nighthawk are you referring to. I know the 250 is tiny, but how about the 750? I mean, I'll sit on anything before I buy it, but just looking for your insights.
