Default Magellan Triton

I purchased a Magellan Triton, and one of the main reasons was Magellan offers a motorcycle mount for this model. It went back the next day.

I tired it out that night, and it showed me in California, when I was in TN. Installed a update that was clumsy and time consuming, and it updated my position, but the time was wrong. Tried a test on the trip planner from my house to my parents in Crossville, and instead of it giving me road directions, it shot a straight path as the crow flies.

Thinking I might need the street map software I went to the website to see the only street software they offer is not compatible for this unit. This unit only has TOPO, and lakes software available, even though it has motorcycle and car mounting kits available.

The next day I got it out, turned it on for it to track me going to work. I did like the instant update on speed and direction, but when I got to the interstate it quit showing me in the display, and I had to keep scrolling to fine me just to watch my location travel off the screen again.

This GPS unit looks like a good unit for land and water navigation, but not for vehicle use
