Okay, started riding 2 years ago and I'm getting the itch to take some trips. Problem is, my husband does not ride...I know, backwards from the norm of the hubby wanting the wife to start. I'm a youth minister, so my days off are Friday and Saturday and my job already requires me to be away on several trips per year and work the occasional Friday or Saturday. I've been trying to round up some riding friends, but that's proving more difficult than I thought. So I've suggested a trip where he drives the car and I ride the bike. (We could maybe invite a mix friends - riders and non-riders, so he could have some company while the riders are on the parkway, etc) Not ideal, but I'm working with what/who I got. He sort of chuckled and said, "so this is the great idea for spending time together - take a trip where we're not in the same vehicle and do different things during the day?" I reminded him, that I"m trying here. Then I hit him with the idea that we could get the headsets made for bikers to talk, but he would simply be wearing it in the car. That brought another laugh...and maybe the thought that a "trip" with me on another vehicle wihout a way to audibly communicate might not be too bad. ![]() All that to say - if we really wanted to try that, the same "chatterbox" or other brand would work, right? And would that work if I wanted to listen to my tunes and sing along (as I'm prone to do) without engaging the conversation mode. Or is there even a product that would allow us to both listen to the same music source? |
