| I knew this thread is not directly related to motorcycles, but considering that I ride most of the in the back roads where there is not a lot of road signs, I would like the buy a GPS. That online stores you had good experience with and what GPS you recommend. Thanks Smikail

| I have a TomTom Rider I use occationally, and I love it. It is motorcycle-specific (waterproof and vibration proof), it is simple to use and understand, the display is large and easy to read, it is easy to use even with gloves on, and the support is first class. I got it at Fry's Electronics (one of the regional big box stores) for about $100 cheaper than the best online price I could find.

| I just picked up a Garmin Zumo 550 from http://www.pcnation.com for $627.15. They'll ship free via Fed-Ex 3 day...but DHL overnight was only $11.45...so I figured what the heck. Like the TomTom Riders, it was designed for motorcycle use, vibration and water resistant, and easy to use with gloves. It includes car mount, RAM mount, latest version of Mapsource dvd and has a few more features over the TomTom that appealed to me. Some don't care about those features. I did. For those that don't, there are even cheaper models (such as the Garmin 26xx, 27xx, and 28xx units for about $200-300 that are also waterproof...but you gotta buy the bike mount separate). |

| I got a Tom Tom 510 from Car Toys for $247. They sell them on line but they are refurbished and more expensive. I just happened to go to the store and asked if they had one and the did but they don't keep them out on display. It does more then I need it to do.
