I know It not what was asked for however the info might be useful to someone. I bought the Nokia 6110 Nav. It sits in my pocket and I use the earphones for directions. With the Sportstracker software from Nokia I can log my rides and download them to Google Earth via bluetooth or cable. Which is great to track points so I can go back during the day to check out views shops etc. It contains info on fastest, lowest, highest points and lots more. I also has the Garmin Gecko, GPSMAP 76, GPS 152 for the boat and general use and a Street Pilot iii for the car. The only one which works is the house is the Nokia although it can be slow to lock onto the satelllites.

I think that the price is pretty standard. I have been keeping an eye on the 550 (Costco, etc) and haven't seen it cheaper. Let us know what you think.

first impressions of the Garmin Zumo 550
i love it.
i want to make sweet love to it.
i want to get naked and rub it all over my body...

a bit exaggerated, but you get my point... this thing rocks.
it comes with so much stuff, i don't even know what half of it is for
from what i've seen it's pretty useful, tells more accurate speed than the speedo, you can set up refueling stops, etc. etc. i just haven't figured it all out yet
pretty straighforward to setup on the bike... either connect it to an aux power, or directly to the battery (i went for the battery)

anyone who is thinking of buying one, just do it... i don't think you'll regret it...

i had a minor problem with the mount... it comes with four screws and nylon lock bolts... i snapped one screw in half (after the nylon nut jammed) and the another was going to do the same thing, so i have to buy 2 more bolts and nuts... no big deal, i'll replace the ones there with stronger ones..

once you get it figured out, you'll find that it's so easy to use that you can plot a route well your riding.

Setting a route home for example only requires 2 or 3 touches on the touch screen depending on what screen your on when you start.

I have a question about the Zumo 550,. if you have a cell phone type bluetooth headset can you listen to the MP3's that you have on the Zumo or do you need to have wired hearphones for this? I'm not sure how Bluetooth works.

I have a 450, and I need to have wired ear buds, but my understanding of the 550 is you can go either way, either bluetooth or wired for the mp3, or spoken directions.

Finally, the Zumo 550 has a built-in MP3 player. You can load a bunch of songs onto an SD card and listen tunes for hours via a Bluetooth headset connected to your helmet. The Cardo Scala Rider FM worked like a champ with this unit.
