Default Avoiding Interstates

So, I recently picked up a Quest and a powered RAM mount so that I can have some fun and then be able to find my way home.

However, no matter how hard I look, I cannot find a way to avoid interstates in the routes. I see options for highways, uturns and such, but nothing for interstates. Any thoughts? I don't mind highways, but I don't want to deal with interstates.

The only thing that I found was from someone who uses a GPS on his bicycle. He sets the driving speed on interstate way low and routes for best time. Is this the only way?

Thanks!
