Pledge Multi Surface is a safe non amonia cleaner I use almost every afternoon before I put my helmet up.

I've heard baby wipes are handy to keep on your bike.

Just use plain water takes five mins to do and does not harm the visor or helmet.

You can pretty much get it any at local bike shop. May have a different name, as I think this used to be called "Honda Cleaner"...

Unlike the advocates here (which may be good), I just choose to use windex & microfiber rags to clean my entire bike. This includes my helmet and shields.

Then again, I buy the cheap >$100 helmets.

I know this is an old thread, but what the Icon manual says is take a paper towel, drench it in warm water, let it sit on the bugs for a minutes or so, you know, to get them gooey again, haha, then use a cotton cloth (i use an old tshirt) to wipe it off gently.

I use babie wipes on the outside, and then dry with TP. This setup is easy to take on road trips, just put the wipes in a zip lock bag and the TP in another. Saves alot of space. If the wipes are good enought for babies, then it is good enought for my babie.

I forgot to add, I top it off with Rain.x ( in the spray bottle ) every so often. This helps keep the bugs off the shield.

I use a wet chamois. Cover the visor with it for a few minutes, them gently wipe and dry of with tissue. Claean well and no scratching.
