Default Removing Decals

would you guys say its too much of a hassle to attempt, or is it not so bad. i removed decals from the side of a car before and although it was a long process, i didn't mind doing it. is it the same for the bike?

the reason i'm asking is because as some of you know i'm looking to get the 2004 GS500F. i like this decal/paint scheme better than the newer years for sure, but i saw a bike that had no decal on the fairing and just the end tail of it on the gas tank. i loved the look of just the one colour and the suzuki name on the fairing and thats it. is it a waste of time? do you think the paint colour would be different underneath (the bike i'm looking at is yellow)? its not that i hate the decal, i just really like the look of the bike without it...

gimme your advice please!!
