Default Love Ride Switzerland - 8 May 2005

I'll be riding in the Love Ride 13 (www.loveride.ch) in Dubendorf, Switzerland on May 8th. Just like the Love Ride in the USA, it's a fund-raiser for the MD association.

They are expecting up to 10'000 (yes, ten thousand) bikers to be present, but they have limited the ride itself to 5'000 participants!

I'll try to take a few pictures.

When I picked up the tickets yesterday, the local Harley dealer told me that Switzerland has the highest number of motorcycles per capita of any country in the world - with a population of 7.5 million, there are more than 1/2 million registered motorcycles!

PLEASE take pics. I plan on taking part of the rides we have for support of different charities this summer.

the one they did here was hosted by Lorenzo Lamas (actor) and his fiancee Barbara Moore (playboy playmate). it was on American Thunder tv show.

Love Ride here takes place just a few miles away. Great idea, but my ride just doesn't fit in with the rest, so I ride in the opposite direction when it takes place. To much attitude and to many crashes during a short ride.

Be careful Inspiron as you won't know who you are riding with or what they may do. You could be surrounded by a sea of squid!

Good idea and always nice to do something for charity, but I have to agree with Gixxerdale, lots of bikers, especially 5000, spells trouble everytime.

Enjoy the day but be careful.

I was there!

There was about 5'000 bikes and about 10'000 spectators, and they raised about CHF 30'000 for the MD Association.

Here's a few pictures ... one of the three parking lots, my GSX, and a picture that reminded me of LayinLo

The picture in my post (ParkingLot.jpg) was one of the THREE parking areas.
