Default Lexington, KY Bike Nights - Thursdays at Bananas

Every Thursday night at Bananas on the River in Lexington, KY, large numbers of all type of bikes and riders converge for the largest bike night in the region. Up to 1500 bikes will show up. There's a large parking lot, a DJ with a big sound system, food, drinks, and lots of guys crazier / braver than I am stunting their sportbikes up and down the road for the crowds. Last night was a pretty cool time, I especially likes the big sportbike totally covered in leopard skin print cloth.

All kinds of bikes and riders having a good time. That's what it's all about.

I just did a ride over the weekend with some friends down in that area. One girl was saying that she had a hard time finding people to ride with around her. I'm going to have to see if she knows about this. I think she said that she mainly just went downtown looking on the weekend. Everyone she meets wants to ride, but not bikes if you get my meaning. She said she's all but given up. Maybe a different setting and crowd would provide new hope for her.

Well . . . THERE'S her problem. She should go ahead and give it up.

<sorry . . . couldn't resist the callous comment>

She should check out the Southern Cruisers, Lexington, KY chapter. A very good group who enjoy lots of riding. http://64.227.196.172/SCRC/welcome.htm

Lexington is only about 130 miles from me, sounds like it would be fun.
