|  Veteran's Day rides...
Thought we could use a thread to post veteran's day ride photos. I went om my first Veteran's Convoy ride today. Began north of Vancouver Wash and ended up in Wilsonville Ore along Interstate Highway 205 ...which is officially named the Veteran's Memorial highway. We had hundreds of bikes and at least as many cars... all to honor veterans. I have never SEEN so many bikes at once....but then I dont get our much...LOL. With cars and bikes we were told we made a line 20 miles long! It was great to see people waving and saluting us from overpasses. End of the 39 mile ride was at a 1000 flag memorial for all fallen Oregon vets from Iraq and Afghanistan. (thats 99 died so far...the rest of the flags honor other Oregon vets from many eras). |
