Default Up for a NC/TN ride?

So I missed this year's dragon run due to the new house, however, I'm still itching to make a trip up to the NC/TN mountains this year.
I made a trip with Outlaw, his friend Ryan, Droopy, and Blazingblu last year in Asheville and we had a blast.
So i was wondering if anyone was up for another trip sometime, let's say in July?

Finances a little tight so a good Day trip like last years BRP would be cool. But let me know what the plan is and Il'l see what I can do.

Hey Tim I got a copy of MadMaps for that area. Well it actually covers almost all of Tennessee and half of North Carolina. Even covers Kentucky and part of Georgia. It has some killer routes pre-planned with highlights and all.

$8.95 it is a steal. There are several routes already pre-mapped out around the Asheville area. Just in case you had not planned any routes.

Tim,
I'm working a rotating 12 hour shift, I can send you a copy of my schedule if you would like.

Looks like there is some interest in this! How does a July 28 and 29th sound or perhaps August 4th and 5th?

Since we went north last year, i was thinking a ride to the south would be fun this year.

I have several routes I run around in this area, but would love to hear some suggestions.

STP- I have the same map you do. It's a great resource. I also have a ton of other routes I was given by a local a few years ago. Thanks for the suggestion.

I cannot make a 28th and 29th of July. If it is going to be more local then maybe an overnighter on the 4th and 5th of August I might be able to swing.

Great buy!

Used it while over there a few weeks back. Be sure to check out TN 32 from Crosby TN (321) to the NC state line (turns to gravel there!) 7 miles of insanely tight switchbacks that had me grinding pegs on every turn. The road creates the northern border of the Great Smokey Mountains National park and is seriously remote - cellphones did not work and we did not see another vehicle or bike out there, so be careful - if you go down, you're in a world of hurt. (BTW - Have been told some stories about 'alternative' churches back there...banjo music would be an improvement so 'stopping' isn't advised!)

Post up when and where and we'll see if we can't meet you too!

We did that road on the Gatlinburg trip. For those who went that was the "Little Dragon" road.
