i think it may be time to put a locked sticky up with just the contact info, dates, and mabe some maps of the area we might ride. This will make it easier for new folks to get signed up.

By the way....we would be glad to have you along bigboy...here's the info.

Room reservations can be made now at the River Terrace Resort in Gatlinburg. Call (800) 521-3523 ext 7709, ask for Susan. We have 25 rooms held for June 7, 8, 9th, out on the 10th. Prices range from $79-89, depending on view and Jacuzzi. They will need a credit card to hold your reservation, but you won't be charged until you arrive in June.

Welcome Bigboy, I'd be one of the TN folks. Where are you, I'm a little north east of Knoxville.

How 'bout just a rocker we could put under the existing patch saying 2007 or Round 2 or something of that sort? I think Sean might have some left over from last year for the folks that didn't go last year.

I'm running out of room on my vest and I can see having a BUNCH of these patches before too long.

Just a thought.

As much as I liked the original design,, I am kinda like Rainman,, vest is getting full already. I like the rocker idea. I also like the idea of a ride pin versus a patch. Maybe if we do a patch then could go with a different design this time. I'll give you a call Don on this. I got your message and will give you a ring.

Can't wait for this trip. I hate that I missed it last year.

Sean, you might want to check out state road 116 (I think). Jerry, you might be able to help me out here, I'm talking about the road that goes from Clinton Hwy over by Brushy Mountain to highway 62 (if you are coming from the Lake City area). This is about a 25 mile stretch and is VERY Dragon-esque. The only issue is that, unlike the Dragon, there is no one there to sweep the corners if there are pepples scattered. Therefore if a good rain comes, I would probably stay away from it. And I wouldn't recommend riding it if it's a rainy day. I can get you exact location and directions if you want. Or like I said, if Jerry wants to chime in here and voice his opinion on it.

Also, any poker players on this trip? Might be fun to get a Texas Hold'em tourney up for one of the nights. If they have a banquet room of any kind at the hotel, we could set up a few tables in there. Just a thought.

Not a bad idea. I will propose it to Rainman and see if we can check it out also. We will be doing the Dragon on the trip. Maybe as a side excursion trip one day and we will do something different for the actual longer ride. But that is still in the idea stage.

Well has anyone else made their reservations??? I am going to start pushing the Misfits on the next two meetings (two months) about getting their reservations made. Let's get these rooms booked now that way we can ask for more if we need it.

We have the entire covered parking garage to ourselves this year. Plus for extra peace of mind the seven rooms adjacent to the garage are all from here and the Misfits.

Let me know if I miss anyone on the list.
