Well...Blackhole and I sang backup to Sean on the theme to O' Brother Where Art Thou the other night. I think you're right...he's liable to drive off more girls than attract them with the singin stuff. Of course...I ain't got much room to talk...I think I'm worse than he is which ain't sayin a whole lot.

And as for the dance floor....does anyone REALLY want to see me out there shakin the 'ol booty? I didn't think so. Maybe we ought to just settle for the lounge chairs around the pool like we did last year.

Just like last year, the guys are going to out number the girls about 5 to 1. If we do any dancing, the few girls that are there are going to get mighty tiered.

Well, after reading the entire thread, most newbies would be scared off by now....guess that makes me one sic puppy in a sic sic world. Put Cajundude and Dpearly (Ms. Cajundude or should it be Mr. Dpearly?) down for coming, but staying elsewhere....will be riding over from Nashville on Friday afternoon via TN 30 if anyone wants to join us for the ride over. BTW - TN 30 is great ride through Fall Creek Falls state park and by the McMinville Dam...very technical and beautiful! (When it says 15mph curve, you better be in first gear and slowing!!)

Anyhow, one word of advice - the dragon is packed on the weekends - it may be advisable to consider Friday AM as the dragon ride day...otherwise it could be a PITA! Just my .02...

Later gators!

Ok,, is there anyone I have missed or got the names wrong? ShonR,,what about your crew? I have an estimated 29 to 34 bikes thus far. Still have a few Misfits undecided. Might have a few more people that I know that wants to go as well.

Last day to reserve a room is May 6th. After that they go back into the inventory and even though they will honor our pricing it is subject to prior sale. So if they have no availability then you will be on our own.

I have also spoken with a couple of vendors that I have dealt with recntly and have become quite impressed with their products and their service. They have said they will be contributing a few gifts for us to give out. I think we might have a few gifts/awards to give out to a few people. Will see. But keep track of the distance you have traveled to get there. I'd like to know who rode the furtherest and who traveled the furtherest as well.
56 more days to go!!!!!

Hey Dragbar, I will be back home in AR the weekend before and was thinking of taking my bike and then cruising on to Gatlinburg from there(the long way of course). What day are you planning to leave MO? Maybe we could hook up for the ride.

No not this year,,lol,,only for me and a few others,,hehehe.

But we have two Sunblockers that have been donated from Helmethead Cycle Gear. I have bought several items from them thus far. One being my Givi 52 liter Maxi Case and mounting kit for the Strom and the second being a Baxley Chock LA Chock to use in the garage and on the trailer. No more compressing the front shocks anymore!!!!!

Check out the site HelmetHead Cycle Gear™ .... they have lots of cool stuff and the prices are pretty good. I also bought one of the Sunblocker strips from them like will be given away at the gathering. I have the universal one and it is great!!! Does what it says it does and makes the sun glare a thing of the past. Pretty good buy there. I will be posting more info on that site later.

Hey Sean, did they give you a wide load sign, when you bought your Givi side cases. I have a set of E-21's, for around town, and a set of E-45's for longer trips, and with the e-45's on the Strom I wouldn't want to be doing any lane splitting. Those 52's must really stick out.

Hey all,
Still got room for one other? I would likely be alone. I didn't read the entire thread, but skimmed through it. It's happening on the weekend of June 7th?

Thanks,
Nate

Always room for one more.

Call the River View Terrace and make your reservations. (865) 436-5161.
I think the girl you want to talk to is Giovanna. Tell her you are with the Motorcycle Journal group.
Yes, the 7th to the 10th of June.

Cool!!!! Make sure you post when you have your reservations.

Remember folks,, the extra rooms for the block get released back into the inventory of the hotel on May 6th. So if you are planning on going or are just not sure yet please book your room. You have up to three or four days prior to cancel. I have only 30 rooms blocked off and as of rigt now I am looking at only about five rooms left. If I need extra now is the time to let me know.

Hopefully you are planning on atending this year as next year we will be going somewhere else. Gatlinburg/Dragon's Tail will be retired for a few years after this June.

The ride we have planned out for bth days is pretty awesome. Come ride the ride, slay a dragon or two, and get the shirt to prove it.

Once we are within a few weeks I will need everyone to start pm'ing me their contact info so I can call you and get your route plan and emergency contact numbers. Would like this year to be as safe as last year and the Misfits are stepping up to the plate to lead us safely through it again.

Someone else heading it up,,. That and a chance to go somewhere else in the country so others can attend as well. But I will always make a trip up that way,, so we can all still meet up if we want.

Unfortunately guys you have to take me off the attending list this year. This ride so happens to coincide with my little sister's wedding, so unfortunately I won't be able to make it. I have already contacted River Terrace and cancelled my reservations. Hope you guys have fun and maybe next time I will be able to make it out.
