Well...we are global...why not?

A world wide ride representing us (site participants), MJ, and or some charity or whatever.

Well the purpose is simply to get the most of us in one spot as possible!

But if you definately know that if it's not within your area, you wont be attending, there wouldn't be anything wrong with setting up a ride in various areas. I already know I'll attend Gatlingburg, hands down. About 80% chance on other locations. So that's why it doesn't really matter to me about place. Hell if it ended up being New York, I'd have a reason to get my iron butt patch...lol

How far do you have to ride to get one of those (Iron Butt patches)?

Maybe I'll just take the time...I did buy it to ride it.

Rowdy could tell you on that one. (Iron butt patches that is).

As far as setting up in different areas that is fine with me. If we go that route then I would have no problem getting the manpower together to police the run like I did last year. Rainman and several of the others have already said that they would want to go again. I suspect that we would have another strong showing from the Misfits this time around.

We could set up each ride and let the masses know which one they would be willing to attend. If we do go and setup several different rides I would probably arrange the Gatlinburg ride again if enough people want to do that ride again.

I know that Rainman and Roadrage have both said that they have found some alternative roads up there that are just as fun as teh ones we went on last year.

i like the idea of official meeting points in different parts of the world on the same day kinda like the official ride days last year. that way there is a choice of where to go. the only problem is finding people to set them up. like i said before, i am in for the Gatlinburg MJOMP (motorcycle journal official meeting point).

Well let's set em up. No problem to call the River Terrace Resort again. I bet ya we could get the rooms next to the covered garage this time around.
What we would need is an accurate head count and how many rooms we will need.

If the idea of different spots is cool with everyone then what we can do is post new threads for each location. That way everyone can read the particulars of each ride and then they can sign up for whichever one they want to do. Easier to track attendees that way.

What does everyone think of that???? I guess we should call this thread Second Annual Motorcycle Ride Days Idea Thread.

Sounds like the best idea, regional rides on the same weekend. This would allow for a greater amount of participants.

Count me in for Gatlinburg. Only eight months to go! Seems like it's been forever since I was in the mountains, oops, it's only been 5 days.

Unfortunately, yes, we can guess where you're picking. Remember, we can see you through your computer screen.

But what about choosing a location for the M-J Ride?

Well Rainman said tonight that he would Road Captain for us again. Depending on the number of participants I could either lead the second group again if need be. But looks like I have several of the Misfits that went along last time saying they will go again as well. RoadRage, Rainman, Gumby, Myself, and some others that didn't even go last time.

So I guess everyone is cool with different locations???? It could all be the same weekend of maybe what if Ride Days encompassed several weekends???
