|  "M" Goes to Prison Well this past weekend I went on a Prison Run with a Local CMA Chapter (Christian Motorcycle Association). This was my first run with this organization. We left Arlington Tx. at 7:00am on Sat. morning destination Brownwood Tx. about 3 hrs south west. The trip was uneventful there were only 4 bikes in our group a Gold Wing, a BMW 1200r Montauk, a Honda Valkyrie, and "M". We were meeting up with other clubs in Brownwood. When everyone arrived we ended up with 30 bikes. Not bad considering the weather was kinda rainy. We were visiting the Ron Jackson State Juvenile Correctional Complex. Once we removed, or emptied all the saddle bags we took the bikes into the "Yard" and parked them. Then they brought out the detainees one dorm at a time where they were allowed to pass through the rows of bikes. After they had all been marched past they were assembled in the gym for a program and then we were allowed to visit them in their dorms. We did one of the Campuses on Sat and then the other on Sunday. There were 3 Suzukis an Intruder 1400, C 90 and M. 3 BMWs, 6 Hondas, 1 Kawasaki Ninja (the only sporty), 3 Yamaha Stars, the rest of the field was all Harley. At one point we all started our engines for the dorms everyone took a turn at revving just for laughs. Then the detainees cheered for their favorite. "M" put everyone to shame, The Kawasaki was second. Boy were the Harley guys ticked, but impressed none the less. She wasn't the loudest but that deep throaty note won them over. Over all it was a great experience and I look forward to doing it again. Arriving early Sunday   Unloading Gear    No Pic allowed on the Inside. |
