sorry everyone. we started overtime last week and then the Independence Day and then a trip to NY all worked into the overtime schedule. looks like there is an interest so I will get the ball rolling. how about the last weekend in September?

If you're talking 9/23-24/06, that works great for me.

So what's the status of this???? That weekend might work for me as well. Nothing major planned as of right now that I can see. So would this be a meet somewhere on Saturday morning thing ride all day Saturday and then start heading back on Sunday???

We could meet somewhere in Asheville late Friday night or early Saturday morning. I cannot see myself getting Friday or Monday off as of right now but I would have no problem riding up Friday evening. Asheville is 4 hours from my house by interstate and state highways so I could probably be there
by 11:00 pm Friday night.

Then we could ride north up the Blue Ridge Parkway or if everyone wants to meet south of Asheville on that could work too.

Let us know,,, if a good solid plan comes together I might jump on board for this one too. Got to start saving the pennies for Daytona too though so el cheapo would be good for hotel stay Friday and Saturday night.

You mean the Biltmore is definately out?

I think I'm going to ride to Savannah or even Charleston, then to Ashville, same in return. Make a nice 5-day trip out of it. Still have to burn about 3 weeks of vacation before the end of October.

Well we could do the Biltmore I reckon,,, maybe he could negotiate a group discount. But last time I went there it set me back about $100.00 for two people.

I will call some hotels tomarrow. I think we can find cheaper than the Biltmore. I spend a few weeks up there every year and usually stay at the Holiday Inn by the airport. I will post here tomarrow night.

Im in Charlotte, so depending on the final date and arrangements, I may be up for the ride as well.

Granted, I just purchased my first bike a week ago, so if it's not something I should even be doing... let me know.

Well I might be out now. Looks like the Misfits are doing a group thing the 3rd weekend of September. Between that and Biketoberfest I might not have enough funds for this. But I will see once you guys work out the details.

how about today!!!!!! ok folks, finally some time off from work.

Dates:
arrive Sept 22nd
ride Sept 23rd
leave Sept 24th

Where: Motel 6 (cheapest) 1415 Tunnel Rd. Asheville, NC 28805

don't call them just yet, they have to confirm that everything is good to go. they will send me a confirmation in a day or two. the hotel is just 1/4 mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway and is on the north side of Asheville which is the way we will be going. 6 miles form down town with a pool and wireless internet. people said they wanted cheap and this is it. $58 per night for 2 adults and $64 per night for 4 adults. the others go from $100-180 a night. they have 12 rooms with 2 queens and 8 rooms with 1 queen bed. remember, don't call them just yet. i will post on here when to call. btw, sorry for the delay everyone.
