| May 2007 Member of the month ![]() | It is a truly business trip. As a trip that is originating on a forum administered by you guys,,, you should be there to oversee the trip and ensure everyone is being good and wearing their gear. Crap,, I guess that means Doug can't ride!!!! LOL!!!! besides.....wouldn't this be the biggest get together from here to date???? Ya wouldn't want to miss that would you?

6 days, I'd guess split in 2 days one way, 2 days there, 2 days to come back. 1800km is just over 1100 miles. in 2 days, plus the ride of the Dragon, plus 1100 miles again. Can you say bodyache? A few hours away, but 22 hours ride? That's a different ball game. And I won't take a week of vacation for that. I love you guys but there's a limit

| May 2007 Member of the month ![]() | Yeah,,,there are the long haulers and they can do it. Where is the spirit of adventure???? I have some good painkillers if you need one. But then the riding will be out for ya. Take 800mg of motrin and you will be fine. Plus look into the buttbuffer pad. Best investment money can buy!!!! Makes the ride even better. Of course you could always trailer it down here and sit in the comforts of the cage. That way you can stock up on the wine to take back. Or fly down here and rent a bike. I think they have,,,ummm,,Harley's that you can rent. If I knew that I could get the 650G running I'd let you borrow it,,but that would be a five to six hour ride there,, and then the same back to Atlanta. C'mon,,you know you want to. What about UB???? Will he come down with you Trapper???

| Sorry it's been a while since I posted on this thread. Work has kept me really busy. Anyways, I checked the leave planner and I'm afraid to say it's not looking too good for me. Two others already have already put in some leave that covered that weekend. Unless one of them changes their mind, I may not be able to make it. I'm keeping my options open but I can't keep any promises right now.

| I won't beable to attend this gathering, although I plan on doing the Dragon on may 5th w/ the VolusiaRiders, and I will be in the area for the Honda Hoot a couple of weeks after your ride, but I was hopeing that all the long distance riders could do the Cherohala Skyway, also! albert

| May 2007 Member of the month ![]() | Man EZ,,,, see if yo can swap dates with one of them. Maybe they will let you cover for them later. We used to help each other out and sometimes the ones that are taking leave it is worth it for them to not take it if the one that is wanting to take the leave "Helps" them out some. Maybe you can "Help" them out with "Gas Money" or something like taking their watch. I hope you can work it out. Curvetracker we wish you could've made it also. If something comes up let us know.

| I, I, I have to think about it. June 3rd? You'd have to convince UB as well, otherwise he'll come over to my house while I'm gone. And this: Quote:

| Mapquest/ Google Maps et.al. driving times are usually 20% high in my experience. So we might be looking at 18 hours. We could get our Iron Butt patches twice in a week.

| Damn, I would be so there! But June 3rd is my Anniversary. NO WAY the wife will let me go on our Anniversary! And no she won't ride along that far. If for some reason the weekend changes will be there. Maybe next year can do again, different weekend? |
