If you come up through Atlanta let me know. You are more than welcome to ride with me, "J", Kelley, and whoever else is meeting me here.

Cool!!!! I have some pretty good roads to ride on the way up there as well. They are almost as much fun as the Dragon's Tail. You should have a blast. Looking forward to getting to meet you and the rest!!!!

I sent PM's out to alot of the people I could remember that might be interested. If you didn't receive an email don't take it personally,, you are still invited. The ones I sent emails to are people that I had correspondance with in the past and some that was referred by others to contact.

Anyone else interested post a response so we can start on trying to locate group accomodations and cheaper rates.

Thanks stp for all the hard work. I'm about an hour from Gatlinburg. I'll go up this weekend and scout some places to stay with group rates. The visitors center will be the first stop for possible discounts in Pigeon Forge. Are you looking @ 2 or 3 night stay? If you need anything from this end, let me know.
I'll do what I can.

COOL MAN!!!! That will work!!!! I am shooting for the Gatlinburg area since most of the nightlife is in that town. But if none is available then Pigeon Forge is a good alternative,, just the logistics of partying in Gatlinburg and getting back to the rooms might be a little complex.

I certainly appreciate it. I would say that we would be looking at arriving Friday June 2nd after lunch sometime,, maybe closer to dinner. Staying Saturday June 3rd and checking out on Sunday June 4th around lunchtime. So it is safe to say a 2 night stay. Tell them as of right now we are looking for room for about 25 people.

Myself I talked to BlackholeKelley and he said he'd be willing to stay with "J" and I. Or he would stay with my brother if he goes. I am looking for a room with two double beds.

If they would be willing to allow us a reserved rate at a discount and some places even allocate special parking for bikes (like in Biketoberfest) then I would be willing to give them reservations. Just a nice clean, decent room is all I am looking for.

Thanks hutz!!!!! That will certainly be appreciated by all!!!! If they have websites then maybe we can all go online and check out the rooms. Hopefully close to main street (US 441) that way we don't have to stagger back to the rooms too far!!!! LOL!!!!!

Lets hope we don't have any of these 18 wheelers that weekend. This is just crazy. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...67&q=deals+gap

Most of the 18 wheelers have learned to pass the word to avoid the area. Especially on weekends. But there are the occasional dummies that decide they can do it. Hopefully if there is anyone who has FRS radio capability then they can ride ahead. I have one that I can use to either bring up the rear or the front. Either way,, but if I am in front then the pace will be alot slower with me toting "J" along.

I make a good tailgunner though. I have NO PROBLEM bringing up the rear.

I'll race you for that last position. I'll be 2 up as well. I've lowered mine since the last trip so I suppose I'll be dragin' a right smart.

Hey that's fine. If we get a good lead then we can bring up the rear. I don't mind leading,, just don't want to slow the people with the heavy right wrist down.

NOTE: Just put in for the dates!!!!!!!!! As of right now he said "NO PROBLEM",,,hot dang!!!!! I'm going to ride!!!!! What is that Honda commercial,,,,"I wanna ride,,I wanna ride,,,I wanna ride!!!!"

Just talked to HammerPete and he said Rae and him are stoked about doing this. This WILL be the ride to ride this spring for me. Maybe in the fall might try another ride down south to Ginnie Springs, Tampa, or even Key West. I got my chaps, leather vest, and biker cap (compliments of Pete and Rae for Christmas--- good joke guys.) reaady for the keys!!!!

We have confirmation!!

It'll be me and my significant other. Gonna look into renting a trailer for the PT and haul the bike to keep her company. In the meantime....Wifey and I are gonna work heavily on our two up riding.

Viper, EZ, Teach and definately...anybody else interested in riding along......

We figured trailering would also help in case anybody would like to swap out bikes in the trailer and take a break during our long haul AND we can stash away in the car at least some extra gear of yours ya care to let us help with.

I've got goose bumps just thinkin' about this, it's gonna be great!!

Hoping none of this changes......we can all work on the finer points as it gets closer.

THANKS to everyone for helping on the hotel/motel pricing thing down there and where.

Mav

KICKA$$!!!!!! Good to hear that Mavman!!!!!! From everyone who has emailed me back it looks like we will have a really good turnout!!!!! We need to thank S2Design for helping come up with the idea. Good Job!!!!!!! I will post you as a definate. MattC pm'ed me back and said thanks for the heads up that should give him plenty of time to plan ahead. So right now he is a possible. Alot of defiantes and alot of possibles already. This is going to rock!!!

Mavman,, bringing the trailer will be a good idea to help out with the trip. The people can ride light and if they get tired swap out riding. That will give you a chance to ride also. Good thinking!!!!

All I did was make the suggestion of posting this in the event section. This is forming into a kick booty weekend.

Yea,, but the suggestion has formed into an event. I'd like to thank hutz for going up there to scout around this weekend. That will defiantely help out alot. This should turn out to be a really good time for all and the area we are staying in will have alot to offer outside of just the riding we will be doing. Should make for a good vacation for all of us. I know I am definately looking forward to it.

sounds good man. I thought about trailering mine, but don't like the idea of trying to put a bike over 400lbs on my trailer. It would hold it but not the easiest thing to get em on. Plus it needs liscensed and new lights. . I don't know what it would cost to rent a trailer but I could take some pics of it or something or you could come check it out and see if you would want to use it.
