I am sure they're gone by now. Not injuries for me though.

BTW, the only part of my bike that got damaged was a side cover and some plastic. I could have rode the bike if I had just JB welded the cover. Instead the cover got nailed to the tree.

Absolutely no injuries are allowed!!!! No tree of shame this trip,, no scratches allowed on the sidecovers, and the only injuries allowed are toilet hugs after drinking or sprained crotches from whatever you will be riding.

Sounds like a plan. As it gets closer I'll have a better idea as well.

Anybody else around the central region wanna join up?

Sean--keep us posted on where the main group will be staying. That way us folks from way out yonder know where to head to.

It is looking like Gatlinburg, TN. It is about 40 miles south of Knoxville. There are alot of places in Gatlinburg,, but if space is limited we could always stay in Pigeon Forge, TN which is only about five miles from Gatlinburg.

The reasoning behind Gatlinburg is that it has a pretty good nightlife and alot of bars, restaurants, attractions, and shops.

Here is the pitch to guys with wives. They can shop ALL DAY long in Gatlinburg if they want to come over with you. That way they can do their thing if they don't want to ride,, and the boys can go ride.

Personally "J" will be riding with me and if I know Rae,, she will be riding her own with Pete. But if there are any other women coming along that do not want to ride the Dragon there is plenty for them to do. The town of Pigeon Forge has hundreds of outlet stores there so they can go there too.

Actually Gatlinburg is a major tourist area during the summer as well. It has scenery with the family attractions and the adult attractions as well. There is no shortage of things to do while there. We have gone there and spent the whole time there just hanging out in Gatlinburg.

So what we need to do is start looking for places to stay in Gatlinburg that will be affordable. I think the round robin idea of leaving alot of the gear in Gatlinburg and working our way back there for Saturday night is a great idea.

Party Friday night,, ride all day Saturday,, and enjoy the fruits of our labor over a few dozen beers Saturday night. All the bars are within walking distance in Gatlinburg that way there will not have to be any drinking and riding.

when we find out how many people for sure then we could possibly get on one of the hotels or whatever and see how many rooms we need or could get maybe at a discount! All depends on how many, and if some folks are willing to split rooms i suppose. Hell I'm cheap i'll split a room with 2 beds of course. Maybe i'm rambling Idk.

Yeah, sounds good especially if we can get a group discount. I don't mind splitting rooms, that is if anyone is willing to put up with my loud snoring.

If we get firm numbers we can call around and get the rates. Of course maybe one of us can ride up there and check it out. I do not have a room guide to the area. But maybe I can ride up there in the next few weeks and scope out some rooms,,talk to them and tell them the dates and get rates.

If there is anyone on here who is closer and is willing to do that let me know. That would be a GREAT help.

Hmmm.. If we plan this right, we could meet along the way East and show up in force.

I'm in.

depending on when you left you could prob meet up with me and EZ along the way. Assuming we both go.

And i'm definately willing to split a room with someone. The more I can reduce the cost. The more likely I am to go. I'm gettin' all gitty just thinking about it.

Depending on the route Don takes, we could all meet up.

This was a quick yahoo map direction search, but I'm open to some variances.
Yahoo!!

EDIT: Yeah, lots of drugs and Icy Hot! lol

looks like you'd be running right through kansas city. That'd prob be a good spot for us centralized folk to meet up.

I agree, KC looks like a good place to hook up. I may possibly spend a night there.

That works for me. We could all meet up in the hotel bar! Umm, I'm going to take the M50. For long rides, with the custom seat and tombstone bag, nothing beets the comfort of the M50.
