oK COOL!!!!! See the above post. They have room for trailers he said. As far as rates. There are a few cheaper rooms to be had at different hotels,, but they are rat holes and personally I would rather pay $20.00 more a night than to fight of the roaches.

Check out the website I posted. The rooms look nice and hopefully she will come back in with rates cheaper than $89.00 a night. With taxes and all for a $89.00 room it comes up to $102.00 a night. So if they are willing to knock off even $10.00 a night that will be cool.

I am stoked about this place. P.E.R.F.E.C.T.!!!!! Will give us all plenty to do while there for the nightlife.

I told her that some may be possibly checking in earlier or possibly staying later. That would be up to each individual. When I get the rates I told her it was for the "Motorcycle Journal.com" gathering.

I am personally leaving Friday morning and will be up there between lunch and dinner sometime. Have to hit some twisties first on the way up!!!

Mav I pmed ya. Since it sounds like you already got the room let me know how you want to get my half and when. Then all we'll have to worry about is whatever random hotel we stay at along the way for the night stopover. And Teach don't worry we aint gonna leave ya. We'll have to find a rest stop or something near kansas city to meet at or something. Something thats easy to find. Ok,, talked to Susan. Here are the rates and what she has worked out for all of us. Mavman,, need to call the wife and let her know to call Susan back in about an hour. Susan is working up the contract that I negotiated for us and she will transfer your reservation over to the group rates. Teach,, do the same. Call her at about 3:45 EST. So in about an hour. But here are the rates and information of the terms.

They are booking 20 rooms for us. If more are needed then we need to let her know ASAP. The block of rooms will be held until May 2nd. This will give everyone that is currently a possible time to decide. We have to reserve 5 or more rooms to guarantee that rate.

If after May 2nd not all of the rooms have been booked then they will release the balance back into their inventory. If there is anyone after May 2nd that decides that they want to come that has not made a reservation,, they will honor that group rate for us if they have any rooms available.

They will only guarantee the type of room available on a first come first served basis. If you want a Jacuzzi room then reserve one now. They will guarantee 20 rooms, but that is just leaving a slot open without booking the type. So as I said,, if there is a preference of a type of room then reserve now.

Jacuzzi room w/ one King bed (smoking)-- $89.00 night - plus taxes and fees-- 2 available
Jacuzzi room w/ one King bed (non-smoke)-- $89.00 night - plus taxes and fees --- 7 available

Standard Room w/ one King bed (smoking or non-smoking) -- $79.00 night - plus taxes and fees --- several available at this moment

Standard Room w/ two Queen beds (smoking and non-smoking) -- $79.00 night - plus taxes and fees --- several available at this moment

If you require a roll-away bed then there is a $10.00 additional charge

If you require a room that allows pets then there is an additional charge and space is limited to the types of rooms available --- call for details

You must call Susan at 1-800-251-2040 extension:7709.

To get the rates available you must state you are with the "Motorcycle Journal.com" group.

I hear ya Ray. I have to put new pads and a gas tank re-call on mine before then. I will defiantely want new pads on it and have them broken in too. Make sure you break them in before the trip. Don't want no glazing!!!!

Now only thing I need to do is get "J" her gear. She said she needs to get some chaps and all. Hmmm,,, now if I can convince her to get the bikini to go with them.

NOTE: JUST KIDDING!!!!!! I am in no way condoning riding the Dragon with chaps and a bikini on for a girl. Wait until Daytona for that,,hehehehe.....

Awwww,,MAN!!!! You got to be kiddin'!!!!! If you can find the means to make it there are ways around the lodging costs,,, like splitting a room,,, getting someone to let you bunk in there with the rollaway $10.00 bed, etc.

I have BlackholeKelley taking me up on the $10.00 rollawaybed in my room. He will throw about $25.00 bones my way each night for it to help with the rooms costs. He is short on cash and I am making it affordable for him. I am sure that someone here will let you split costs with them. All we need is 5 or more rooms.

Looks like we have mine, Mavman's, Pete's, and Teach's so far. Not sure about Viperbite. But just those alone will almost guarantee the rates. C'mon,, you know you want to come along!!!!! You and Trapper can split a room or something. In the words of the guy from the movie "The Waterboy"..... "You kin do iT!!!!"
