Default International Motorcycle Show - Seattle

Well the international motorcycle show has made its way to Seattle. Opens this Friday at 4pm, Qwest Field Event Center. I work right across the street so I've been watching the big tractor trailers show up all week. If all goes as planned I should be there on Friday when it opens checking out all the new bikes.

I Googled it and it looks like the closest it comes to us in Atlanta in March, '06.

Have a friend who lives in Burlington WA who told me he was going. Said he'd take me some pics. We don't get that kind of thing around here.

I went last night. I forgot to take my camera so no pics, sorry. I was focused mainly on doing my sport touring research. I was dissapointed because I came away more confused than before and I'd thought the show would crystalize things for me. Oh well. Most of the factory reps that were there were kind of lame. There were a few good ones. None of them had shiny brochures for any individual models, dissapointing. I've never shopped new bikes before so maybe motorcycle manufacturers don't make shiny brochures for individual bikes?

I also picked up a new pair of riding pants. FieldSheer revamped their riding pants, they're lighter, softer, have a removeable liner and completely redesigned zippers. They also cut their production costs so their entire line is a little cheaper than before.

Nope, not that I've seen. When I was shopping for the M50, I got a shiny brochure that incompassed the M50, M95, and C50T. For the Mean Streak? Kawi gives you the entire line, with just a token blurb about each bike. Not sure what Yami does, but I ordered their Star bikes DVD about 6 weeks ago and have yet to see it. I would say at least they put out a DVD, but then if it never shows, the multi-model shiny brochure is better. Oh, my wife did get one for the Burgman - it had both the 400 and 600 in it.
