Thanksgiving Ride (S. Fla) - Motorcycle-Journal Forums

Im itching for a ride (thats not going between work/home).
It looks like Thursday is going to be nice, and Im not working.
Anyone up for a easy jog down to the Keys and back???
I've never been down there before, and it would be nice
to see the area, give Cuba a shout, some eats, and come back,
in time for turkey.
Any S. Fla riders up for this idea???

Hey man, why dont you you cruise over to Ft Myers on Saturday the 26th!!! 4 of us are getting together-- 2 from Ft Myers, 1 from Tampa and 1 from your coast!!! We were going to cruise to the beach and hangout for a bit...We would be more then happy to have you head over !!! The more the people the better!!

yeah it looks like i will be heading down from Tampa all alone! dont really want to though...boring to ride that far alone, especially the trip back after being on the bike all day.

you should get together with Sundude and ride with him. the more people going the more i will be willing to go.

Well I got up on time, got ready, and left the house about 7:50, to meet up
with Sundude.
About 2 miles away, I turned back to my house, because it was too cold (around 60 deg) for the mesh jacket I was wearing

Got back home, changed jacket/gloves, and headed out to meet Sundude.
We left the area around 8:30, headed south on University Drive,
then east on I-595, then south on I-95, then picked up Rt 1 South.
We didnt go all the way to Key West, but to around Lower Matecumbe Key.
Maybe another day, I'll go all the way.
Lots of bikers on the road, of which most waved.
It was a great ride, nice weather, and thanks to Sundude for the company
on the ride.

New rule. Suzuki-bikes meet ups must provide pics of the actual members. We've seen the bikes, how about some faces????\

edit: I do see a tiny picture that looks like it is probably Sundude. (a little pale to be Trini0)

No, that wasn't me in the water, but it was warm enough by then for a swim. By the way, Merlot, how's the SNOW!!! I'll take sand over snow any day.

snow, what snow? We haven't had snow on ground in week and half.

Although, we are supposed to get some more this weekend. Nice thing about it here, doesn't stick around that much. Overall, the weather is really nice here. It'll snow one day, then 50 or 60 the rest of the week. The weather here is was nothing like I thought it'd be when I moved here.
