| For you experienced folks............. I am starting to make plans to head down there in March. What's the chance of me getting a room anywhere close to the action? Any advice would be appreciated. I am hauling two bikes down so I will have to park my trailer somewhere too. I've been to Daytona a few times just not for Bike Week.

You will be looking at about $180.00 a night with a 5 night minimum stay. There are lots of other hotels that are alot nicer. PM HammerPete and he can tell you where they stayed which is a little further south but ALOT nicer than where we stayed. If you can talk to the hotel direct do that. The internet sites jack the rate up about 10% to 20%. If you want to sleep at all at night right in the middle of things will not be a good option.

| After abusing my employer all day, by calling every hotel in Florida. I made reservation for my wife and I, and another couple. We are staying in St. Augustine. Thanks for your help.

If you want to enjoy a ride on some nice scenic areas St.Augustine is nice. Hammerpete lives about 45 minutes north of St. Augustine. PM him and he might be able to tell you some nice areas to check out. St. Augustine has a neat little night life of its own Friday and Saturday evenings if you like the small bar and smokehouse atmosphere.

| St Auggie has some nice places to visit while your here. Try the Conch house. Try sunset grille on A1A...stp doesn't get out much. Plus you might get some sleep staying in Auggie.. THe strip is rocking until 4am.

| I think you might want to stay closer like Daytona Beach Shores or Ormond Beach or even Deland. ==> http://www.daytonachamber.com/bwhome.html

| Thanks Nexus, but I tried all those towns in my search. I think I'll settle for St. Augie this trip. Seems like the best bang for the buck.
