Smile Riding in NC Sunday the 16th

Posting here for anyone who would like to ride with, all or part.

Leaving Charlotte on 85s will pick up 321n in Gastonia and cruise to Blowing Rock. There we'll hit the BRP going south for about 100 miles or so. We'll exit the BRP around Ashville and take 74alt/64 past Chimney Rock and Lake Lure then back to Charlotte. Total ride approximately 350 miles planning to make a day of it.

Anyone interested either PM or reply here and we'll work out the when and where parts.

Should be a beautiful weekend

Dennis

I'll be doing the other part. Leaving Knoxville, Tn and heading through Gatlinburg on 441, then across the mountains to Cherokee, NC. I'll pick up BRP and head towards Ashville. Hit I-40 and back to Knoxville, or maybe back to Cherokee and spend the night.

Well, as I type this I am in Cherokee, we spent the night here and will hit the tail of the Dragon this morning and head back to Knoxville that way. We had a great day yesterday in the Great Smoky Mountains.

It handles really great for what it is, I guess. I was ridding two-up with the wife so I was pretty consertive. Other that it being a little cold this morning it was a great trip. Here are some pictures. Oh, and sorry for highjacking your thread NCBoulevard

And of course, the shot in front of the sign.

that is a great trip. i was in Pigeono Forge a couple years ago in my 2001 cougar and had to get down to flowery branch GA so i went down that way, past franklin NC and into GA. what a great ride up and abck down the mountain! i bet it was awesome on the bike...and of course the Dragon!

i wish i had a nice 70 mile trip like that around the corner. i do 70 miles from my house in certain directions and dont even have to turn! central FL has some LONG STRAIGHT roads where we can go over half hour without even hitting a stop sign!

NP on the Hijack Jerry.

The day was beautiful and the ride was fantastic!!

A fitting first long ride on the new Mustang seats. No numb asses at the end of the day

Total mileage for the day 330.
