Question RM 85 Question (04' -vs- 05' , 06'

Hi my son is getting reddy to move up from a 65 to a RM 85 .
I saw a new 04' for 2,888 in a show room . Not too bad of a deal.
But , was'nt the bikes engine, brakes and suspension up-graded
in 05' ? and is the new up-grades so good that I should
pass on a deal on a 04' ? And pay the two hundred more?

Default I have the solution!

I have ridden both years of the bikes. the 04 has a nice power band, but the 05 is much smoother, it never skips a beat. the 04 has alot of balls, good for racing... but the 05 does have plusher suspension. fortunatly shocks are cheap, so u could buy a new one for the 04 if u get it. i liked the 04 a bit better, just because it had a huge power band. but its up to u. Hope I helped.

I think with your son moving up in class that he will not need the upgraded items. If it is a good deal then jump on it. As your son gains experience and speed he will start to notice things that need to be upgraded but until then I don't think it makes to much differance.
