| Hi everyone. I'm a new '03 RM250 owner and have a couple of questions I wonder if anyone can answer. (the bike is brand new) 1) Is there anything I should do to this bike to make it run or perform better. I mean like any small issues that can be done to the bike without purchasing after market performance parts. 2) What after market performance parts has anyone had decent results with? 3)I've read the one lousy thing about this bike is it's difficult to Jet properly. Has anyone had any success jetting their bike for about 3700' I appreciate anyone's comments. Thank you.

| I have a 03 250 I just bought last week, Here is what I do in Ohio. I move the clip up 1 to lean it out, I unplug the TPS to the carb "I seem to get a bit better jetting when I unplug this" These little tricks have really made my Zook run crisp and clean.

| Thanks Zukermx96. But can I ask, what is a TPS? and what does it do? Where can I find it to unplug? I changed the main jet last weekend from 190 to 180 and it ran a bit better, but still need to go a little more. I'm going to try a 172 main this weekend. Thanks

| TPS is a Throttle Position Sensor, It controls how much gas is dumped into the carb when you twist the throttle. There should be 2 sets of wires with connectors on them at the top behind your carb. Find the one that is running to your carb and unplug it (make sure to electrical tape the connectors after you unplug it) I usually always run a 172 main but I am still breaking mine in, so I will run it a little rich for now.
