Default clutch is going. would i be able to install new one myself?

so my clutch is going on my 96 rm 80. im no master mechanic, but if i have the right parts i could fix something on the bike. just curious if replacing a clutch was alot of work or what? thanks. first post

it's all pretty easy. just take out the bolts, pull out the plates (might need to pry gently with a screwdriver) then soak/coat the new plates with oil.... install, tighten everything up... done.

you can even do it without draining the oil if you just lay the bike on it's side. I'd go ahead and change the oil, but it's an option.

changing the basket is just as easy, only tricky part there would be stopping the basket from spinning as you loosen the large nut.

about $80 for the plates & springs

between $150 and $250 for the basket (if you need one)
