Unhappy Is this normal? (rm 125)

My 1992 RM 125 often bogs at low rpm's. For example i went trail riding (not exactly a rm specialty) and every time i would climb a fallen tree or ride up into the woods i would have to keep pumping the throttle. As soon as i got home i cleaned the spark plug and checked the timing and it wasnt that. My friends have 125's also (CR/KX) and they say they have the same problem but not as bad as me. I also mixed the gas with a little less oil (not much) because i thought i might be running too rich. It wasnt that either. Other people had told me to get torque reeds i think my bike should be able to travel at a low rpm without them. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Stephen

When is the last time you had a new top end Piston/Rings etc?

A 125 2 stroke is a high strung bike no matter what brand it is. They like to be revvvvvved a lot. You don't get mush low end from these little motors.

1999 but the bike didnt ride more than 15 hours from then until prob March this year. Im not looking for real low rpms i go wide open most of the time but every single time i even let off the throttle for three seconds i end up pumping it up to high rpm's.

Clean your carb and adjust your float as it may be to high.

Thanks but do you know if any aftermarket reeds are worth buying? There like $15.00 in ebay.

Do I think they are worth buying...Yes but only if you tune the bike with all your mods such as Pipe, jetting and gearing so that you can use the power it is generating to its fullest potential.

I dont ride on low rpm's its just around any turn it happens it goes straight to bogging out as soon basically as i let off the throttle. Other posts say i need to clean my carb and check my float. I will do that and tell you how it comes out.
