Default dr350se gas tank problem

I have a 1995 dr350se that I bought in oct 2003. It is a great bike but after about 50 or 60 miles on a tank of gas the bike starts to bog down. There is still adequate gas in the bike and when I fill the tank the problem goes away. Is this normal if not do you have solution. Help

Next Question is, do you have the On ad reserve fuel lines crossed?

Maybe it just has a bad pickup. My Dad has a Chevy Blazer and he could have a quarter of a tank and run out of gas. He says it has a bad pickup but im not sure.
