Default Can't get rear hub off King Quad

I need 2 replace brakes on rear of '96 KQ. Took wheel off, removed cotter pin, castle head nut, four nuts in the middle that I think connect to the brake drum. Bolted a plate to the five studs on the hub that the wheel bolts to and hooked a slide hammer to the plate. I have pounded and pounded and that sucker won't budge. One thing that may be a cause is that the castle head nut was extremely hard to get off. Maybe it was put on too tight and wedged the hub on too tight. Any suggestions?

Default never mind

I had to take the whole assembly off the axle and go in from the back side and knock it out with a steel bar. The hub was rusted on to the bearings. Now I'll clean everything and replace the bearings. Should be ok then.
