Question Rm100??

I want to move on from my heavy crf230 to a 2-stroke. I am 5'8 and 145 pounds would an Rm100 be good for me?

i hate theese types of questions..

You need to be more specific in your question. Like.. What are you doing with your current bike. Road dirt..??? do you plan to take the 2 stroke on the road or what how long have you been riding.. Be more specific. We can answer questions only if you help us...

Im about the same size a few inches taller and i really think that a 100 would be too small since it is really a 100 engine on a 80 frame. if i was in your postion i would go with the 125

imo I think alot of it has to do with age though. I have a 12 year old cousin who is 6'1 and about 160-170, and I think a 125 two stroke would be a little to "Peppy" for him. He has a Xr 100 4 stroke now, but I think a 80 2 stroke or even a 200 4 stroke would fit him well.. But since ya been riding a while a 2 stroke 125 might fit ya...

Im 14 years old, and im 5'6 not 5'8 i made a mistake. I think a 125 would be too powerful for me to handle

Yeah I agree.. Im 6'1 180lbs and drive a Rm125.... Honestly I think yad get killed on it.. (Unless you come from a racing back ground and have been riding since you were like 5, but Id still think yuor a bit small)

Id say ride what ya got now until ya outgrow it and cant seem to get any better on it, then move up to a bigger size or a 2 stroke

You also might look into an 80/85 "big wheel" or "expert" which is about the same height as a 100, but still has the 80/85 engine.

Make sure you test ride a 2-stroke for a few hours (or days if you can go with a friend who has one). If you've only ridden 4-strokes, there's quite a bit of difference in low speed torque and mid speed "hit" when the real torque of a 2-stroke kicks in.
