| Hey guys- I was given an old suzuki rm 125 the other day. I've never worked on a bike but have worked on cars and go-karts, small engines etc. I've ridden a bike once for a short time, but i'm really set on fixing this bike up. I think the year is between 76- and early 80's? Is there anyway to tell? How about model #'s? A B or C? My mechanic skills are pretty decent so any advice or help would be awesome. Thanks.

| It doesn't start. I havent taken it apart yet, i think there may be water damage to the carb and internals. The frame doesnt have any rust. Im just trying to find indentification numbers and year so i can look up some documentation.

| Ditch Magnet ![]() | if its old oyu`d better reduild the carb. take it apart and clean every little thing... To find your model, go to www.bikebandit.com and look for similarirties and use the microfiches. No compresion, maybe a rebuild is in line... Just go down the line...

| Also check around the stearing column for the model and year information. Normally there is a metal tag that has that information. TsPerformance is very right about the carb cleaning!! Had one once that you could not burn the gas out of, the stuff was so old it would'nt ignite!! So clean it well! Good luck! |
