Default '03 RM250 Jetting

Hi Kwinters. From the shop manual supplied with my RM, the stock Jetting for an '03 RM250 is as follows..
Main Jet # 190
Jet Needle - N8HR- clip in the 4th position (from the top of the needle)
Slow Jet # 50
Air Screw - 2 turns out
Cut away - 6.5 (I think that's the carb. slide)
Power Jet #55

and Woodydat is right, the stock settings are very poor. I ride at an elevation of about 3800 ft and I have changed my main jet to a 162, and have dropped the needle to the 1st postion (from the top). It's still a hair rich but overall running much better than before. Keep checking around for opinions, for all the great things that the dirt mags wrote about this bike, the one big beef was the jetting. Keep trying different set ups making small changes at a time, one you get it nailed, look out! This bike is a monster. Good luck and have fun.
