How fast is a 125 and 250 PLEASE HELP!! - Motorcycle-Journal Forums

Hey, I was wondering how fast is a 125 and a 250 dirt bike can go in miles p/h. Is there a big size difference between them. And is a 250 a lot faster then a 125? Thanks

Welcome to the board, gurl!

That's a pretty tough question to answer. Basically - it depends.

Two, or four-stroke? 250F's race with 125 two-strokes. If I were buying the bike strictly for woods riding, I'd go with the 125. They're lot's more fun IMHO - unless the terrain has lots of high hills. Then I'd opt for the 250. Top speed is meaningless unless you're riding on the street or in wide-open (like desert) areas.
