Hello all! I am new here and look forward to hanging out with all of you. I purchased a 1999 jr50 for my boy. I am looking for some parts due to his first crash about 2 months ago. lol (hes ok, learned alot from the first one and now wants to go faster, i think hes addicted!), and i am looking for some advice as well from you experts. Firstly I am looking to see if anyone can direct me to a service manual for this bike. Not just the owners manual. Next, I am looking for parts. In his wreck the seat was wacked on the side. When i purchased the bike i found that i dont need to mix the oil if i had the oil tank and workings which are not there for some reason. Also other misc parts, gear shift lever, side panels etc. Next issue is I understand I can raise the suspension on this bike? I am trying to increase the power and I unserstand I can do it in two ways. The throttle stop and the opening up the exaust some way. Do i need to remove the throttle stop all together or just back it out. If i remove it, am I going to create a vac leak? Please help if you can. I have searched all over the web and I finally found a forum where I can ask experts for a change. Thanks in advance all! Tec

www.repairmanual.net That would be the place to get it. I suggest you buy the microphiche also. The bike is oil injected. the suspension has 2 collars added to lengthen the forks. the rear shocks can be relocated to the higher tabs on the swingarm. You can also take the flange out of the exhaust pipe header and remove the throttle stop to givbe it full power. My 4 year old highsided his and was crying so I said lets put it away and he said " No Dad I want to keep riding it" Boy was I proud!

So I can increase the height in the front or is it already maxed? Also I have the microfiche from the post that someone so graciously posted and the throttle stop is item #9? Its on the side of the carb or is this throttle stop inside of the bowl in the carb that your speaking of? I was thinking if i remove the throttle stop on the side of the carb, I will create a vac leak wont I? Thanks for all your help! tec

I called suzuki and found some info for the jr50 power enhancing. I know some of this has already been posted by some others. The manager told me two things will help us jr50'rs increase power. First, taking the washer (limiter) out at the exaust flange, this will release some of the back pressure. I asked him if that would hurt the engine in any way and he assured me that it would not, matter of fact it will help by reducing carbon build up. Secondly, remove the ring where the throttle cable meets the carborator. He said the ring prevents the throttle valve from going all the way up. Not sure by looking at the following diagram (http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/300_02...carburetor.cfm),if its the carb cap or what? If someone can tell us exactly what the part is that would be great! Ill try and locate tonight and report back. I dont know if you jr50'rs use this resource for your parts but here is an excellent reference for pictures or parts, part numbers and the way the parts all fit together in the link below. I have linked right to all the jr50 years, just select your year and the type of part you desire. http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/getyea...550&man=su Also here is a link to the official service manual for the jr50. http://www.repairmanual.com/catalog/99500-20161-01E Hope all this helps anyone looking in the future, It sure was fun looking for it all. If anyone can tell us exactly what the ring part is called where the throttle cable meets the carb and exactly where it is, I am sure I speak for all jr50'rs in saying we appreciate it! tecboy
