Default '92 RM125 CDI help

I recently bought a '92 RM125, and the CDI is shot. not only shot but beaten with some sharp object.
I managed to find a CDI for a '96 RM250. any chance of adapting it to the bike?

No it wont work on your bike. Give Cycle Recycler a call as I am sure they have it. Do a search for them and call.

Is the a way to adapt it by splicing it in, or are the voltage levels different?
Also which bikes might have a CDI that would work? I know that '92-'95 RM125 are the same, anything else?

The CDI controls other functions other than just the ignition. I recommend you use the proper year CDI for your bike. Look on ebay or a motorcycle breaker like cycle recyclers. Or save your money and buy a new one from Suzuki.

Does anyone know which years will fit? I found an ebay ad for a '91 that the seller claims will fit on a 91-93, but the serial number are different between 91-92. what gives?

I own a '95 RM 125, and it's been my experience that many items from the years '93 to '95 {Models P/R/S, I believe} are interchangeable. This, however, is not an absolute for ALL parts. I would do more research before buying the item off ebay. Your local Suzuki shop is a good place to start, although depending how they are staffed you may not be speaking with an "expert".

Try a guy called Wayne Gum at wayne@erd.co.nz He is in New Zealand and manufacturers CDI's. I recently bought one for an 85 xt550, and it cost around $130, and comes with a 1 year warranty. His service etc is really top notch.
