Default 2004 Eiger 400 auto 4x4

My new Eiger has a hollow knocking sound at low idle. This goes away when the RPM.s are raised. It comes from the right side around the case. Has anyone else had this noise and is it something to worry about. Thanks. T

Is your machine an Auto?

I hear that sound almost every morning. In fact the Kawasaki Prarie 360 will generally be much louder and more sick sounding.

Sorry I lack the knowledge of a more technical answer but I have not the prose. If your machine is an automatic it is your clutches and is very typical. If your Eiger is a 5 speed see your dealer asap. A phone call and an experianced ear will not hurt in any case. I would haul it down to the dealer if it were mine, just to be sure.

Default Eiger knock

Thanks, it does sound like it is coming from the right side where there is either the automatic trans or auto clutches. My Eiger is an automatic. I am going to take it in just to get it on paper.
