The only info I am getting so far from the guys at the track is if you run a aftermarket pipe you should run 1 size leaner on the Main Jet. Keep the needle on the 3rd groove. Air screw 1 1/2 turns out. I have not ridden one yet but have talked to 2 guys that got early release 05 RM250's and they are saying the bikes are jetted perfect right out of the box.

Stuff thats not worth the dealer to do price wise

yes the o5 RM's are better than the 04, but it all comes down to rider skills
ok, jetting. The newer style RM's 01 02 03 04 05 models, usually come jetted pretty good, Only if u are reving the tits off em. if ur not reving the bike out, the plugs WILL foul with standard carb & jetting.
ok. so i'll tell it how it is, the standard jetting is too rich off the bottom. Drop the stock 42 pilot jet and throw in a 37.5 and adjust the air screw to suit and you're in business.
Im keen for a 98 or newer RM125 next year, i just gotta save some more money.
tell us bout the RM, hows it go against other RM's uve ridden?

Yes I too think rider skills are most important. It's fun to see new bike improves and get better parts and engineers work more overtime for next model.
