| I posted about a year and a half ago asking some questions about my 1972 Suzuki TS 250 and since then she has been great, I've put about 500 trail miles on her with no problems. I had to take the left side engine cover of to do some work (clutch side) and now I cannot get the clutch to work again. I've had the clutch rod out and when I put it back in and put the cover on with all the screws in it the clutch won't work. I've tried putting the rod in in neutral, 1st gear, etc... I cannot get the clutch to work. Any help would be appreciated I'll try to post some pictures later tonight or tomorrow morning. Thanks.

| Third gear and cruising ![]() | I'm shooting from the hip here since I don't have a manual for your specific bike nor can I seem to find any good schematics. So can you clarify something? Are you referring to the rod that the clutch cable attaches to via a perpendicular mechanical linkage or are you talking about the shifting lever?

| Third gear and cruising ![]() | Or is it a rod that goes through the center of the clutch baskets and links to an actuator rod on the other side of the engine? (I had this on a suzuki GN250(I know they are no where near the same but I'm curious if they didn't use the same basic design on certain aspects of the engines))

| Sorry for taking so long I'm talking about the rod that sticks out above the neutral position sensor that goes into a round mechanism in the engine cover. The round mechanism is controlled by the clutch cable when you squeeze the clutch the round mechanism rotates and turns the rod while pushing it into the block slightly. I've got some pictures let me see if I can get them posted.
