Bike: 1982 Suzuki RM 125

|  1982 Suzuki RM 125 My bike simply will not idle, it also has a hard time to start moving from a stand still in 1st gear. Any ideas on what I should look at? Also what is the common plug to be used in these bikes? I just bought it and I'm wondering if it is just the plug! Thanks for any response, Disco |

 | The plug for an '82 RM125 is an NGK B-9EGV. I would start there. Also, pull and inspect your air-filter; clean if necessary. If that doesn't work then the problem is most likely in your carb. You should probably clean it, set the fuel height (in the float bowl) and adjust the air/fuel mixture. I would go more in depth but I don't think I can accurately explain each process so I suggest you do some searching online. Also, a few good forums for dirt bikes include, Dirtrider.net and allthingsmoto.com, you will find much more useful information there. Not that I'm dissing MJ but this site is mostly dedicated to street bikes. Bryce
