Default DRZ400 too high is there a way of lowering it

My new DRZ400 for me sits too high. The bike has everything I could want but again it is too high. Is there a way that anyone would know of lowering it. I have 12" of travel front and back. Could I bring it down like 3 or 4"?

I'm not one to promote another site, but there is some real good info on this subject on Thumper Talk.

Thanks I just checked it out. Some good ideas on the lowering links.

Rickster..as it turns out..after this Sunday's ride...I'm just going to keep it..I notice I sit on it flat foot and not on my tip toes as I remembered. Next I'm going to get the g/f Suz to go get a 230L..she's the one that started this..and if I want a small one to just ride hers.

Thanks for your help.
