| Hey all, I was just wondering if I could get some ideas as to what you all think would be the best overall starter 4-wheeler for my 5 year old son. I was always partial to kawasaki dirt bikes. I always had one as a kid (although I had to hide it over my friends house.) Thanks for any and all advice. |

| I would get one of those cheapo Chineese bikes to start him on since I am assuming this will be his first quad and he may not like it. You can find them really cheap on Craigslist. If you want a name brand bike I think Suzuki makes a LT50 and I believe Yamaha used to make a small quad called a Breeze....

| Thanks for the reply BigE, are you talking about those $400.00 jobs? I did find some "no-name" quads online that seem pretty good ie; automatic trans., able to govern down to about 5mph, remote kill switch for me I was leaning towards those I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with them (obviouisly through a child). I bought him one of those electric "PowerWheel"types about 2 years ago and had to replace the motor twice from over use so I'm sure he'll get plenty of use out of it. Thanks again |
