Default 2000 Rm 250

I recently bought a 2000 RM 250. The bike seems to run pretty good. However, when I removed the left side (magneto) cover, anti-freeze poured out. Probably like a cup or so. Is their some kind of seal between the water pump housing and the magneto area? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A water cooled 250 with a magneto ?!?!?!?!?

Is there such a thing?

I'm talking about the cover on the left side of the motor, were the flywheel is. I was apparently mistaken about the magneto thing. I originally took the cover off to replace the clutch cable, but when I pulled the cover some water came out. I was wondering if there was some sort of gasket or seal that isolated water from this area.

I've seen some water collect from condensation, but never any antifreeze. I wouldn't think it could get in there unless there was a crack in the case allowing it thru. Ususally there is a gasket between the cover and the case, but it is intended to seal the cover from outside contaminates.
